A stunning antique Kazak rug, handwoven in the Caucasus mountains of modern day Azerbaijan circa 1880. It features a 5 medallion geometrical design on a deep indigo field of stylised flowers and figures. Fabulous colours and highly collectible.
Size: 2.86m x 1.34m (9ft 5in x 4ft 5in)
This rug is in good condition with light age-related wear, slightly heavier in places (see photos). Slightly reduced in width at the bottom (see photos). Slight fold in bottom left (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
