An exceptional antique Karadja carpet, handwoven circa 1910 with a large geometrical medallion on a terracotta field and deep indigo border. The design is more associated with neighbouring Heriz carpets and it has fabulous secondary colours, particularly the large gold spandrels. A highly collectible piece.

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
