A fabulous vintage Kashan rug, handwoven circa 1940. The design features an allover floral design on an ivory silk field and similar border. Finely woven with great secondary colours of reds, greens and blues and a very handsome rug.
Size: 2.06m x 1.34m (6ft 9in x 4ft 5in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned. Small repair to minor border (I believe a section where there was a signature has been removed and replaced), very well done and barely visible - see photos. Very slight colour bleed, barely noticeable (see photos).
